In Torrance, urgent care centers are busiest on weekends and evenings when doctors' offices are closed, and most post their wait times online. Across California, primary care practices often have a waitlist for new patients, so establishing care before you need it saves time. For a dental emergency outside office hours, an urgent care center can prescribe antibiotics and pain relief but cannot fix the tooth; a hospital emergency room can treat swelling that affects breathing or swallowing. Torrance is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. Getting around Torrance is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across California's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

βοΈβοΈβοΈβοΈβοΈ A truly caring experience at Providence Little Company of Mary Having an elderly parent hospitalized is frightening, especially when you don't know what to expect. I had been to other hospitals where the staff was nice, but our experience at Providence Little Company of Mary was different. Despite the difficult circumstances, the care my father and our family received was warm, compassionate, professional, and reassuring. The attention to my father's comfort really stood out. He is always cold and very difficult to warm up, even at home, so having a personal heater on his bed made a huge difference. It was a small detail that showed genuine care. The ICU gave me a whole new perspective on what compassionate care looks like. The doctors I spoke with were kind and took the time to explain my father's condition and plan of care. Dr. Kumar and the Dr. that called around 2am when they welcomed my father especially took the time to speak with me by phone, answer my questions, and make sure I understood what was happening. During such a stressful time, that communication meant so much to our family. I also want to recognize our ICU nurses, Kasey and Ditte. You were both in

I had an inpatient surgery on July 13, 2026. I was pleasantly surprised at how well everything went from pre-registration, pre-admitting, the ladies I spoke to were both thorough and made sure I asked questions along with understanding everything I needed to know prior to surgery day. I only remeber Kristin name, she was in pre-registration I had my surgery on July 13 scheduled at 2pm but did not have it until 5pm due to some confusion with my insurance. (inpatient/outpatient) Admitting/lady was very understanding and did her best working with my dr office along with their billing office,London trying to get everything in order to move forward with the surgery that day. I really appreciate admitting lady and London for their hard work, staying calm when its visible Iam not happy potentially might not have surgery due to confusion.... Fast forward...... had surgery now in ICU for 2 days. Some of my nurses during that time, Jasmine M., Jayoun K. and Krystal A. they showed true genuine compassion in caring for me. They always came in my room with a smile and made sure I was as comfortable as I could be (laying on a hospital matress), Im a little shy but I never felt too shy not to

My experience with this hospital was a mix of excellent medical care and very frustrating communication and administrative support. I was admitted on a Thursday nightdue to heart-related issues. Friday, I underwent multiple tests, which were completed around 12:00 p.m. However, from 12:00 p.m. until approximately 8:00 p.m., no physician came to discuss my test results or explain the next steps. I repeatedly asked to speak with a doctor, but no one came. By 8:00 p.m., after waiting for hours without any communication, I requested to leave against medical advice (AMA). Within a minute of making that request, the doctor Pham finally contacted me. She explained that I could leave as long as I returned on Monday for follow-up testing and scheduling. The staff had been insisting that I stay in the hospital over the weekend, even though no additional testing or treatment was planned until Monday. It was difficult to understand why I was expected to remain hospitalized when nothing further was going to happen until the beginning of the week. I returned as instructed, completed the follow-up, and later that week, on Thursday, I had my stent procedure. Dr. Murrad did an excellent job perform

The nurses discriminate and falsified records. The doctors change every week so if you unfortunately get admitted mid week just know your care will change depending on the doctor and you'll have to re-test and do the same labs over and over again. They destroyed my veins. Don't waste your time complaining or filing grievances. They don't really investigate, they just find staff willing to file false complaints against you so your claims are disregard. Then they actually tried to lie and say I was crazy just because I started document the conversations and mistreatment thinking that would help me get the care I desperately needed. In the end, after weeks of being hospitalized with no resolution and constantly being harassed and mistreated, I discharged myself. I am still in distress from all the things that happened to me at this hospital. You would think a church based facility would be trustworthy but I came in contact with plenty of evil people there. They have mostly elderly and handicapped admitted there because they can't complain or speak up for themselves. The nurses even got drunk 1 of the night shifts I was there. I could write a book about the scandals I witnessed a

My wife and I stayed at this hospital for four days after delivery, and we had a very positive experience overall. I canβt say enough good things about the staff, nurses and doctors were all professional, kind, and supportive. Meals were provided three times a day for both my wife and me, which was very helpful. The room was a bit small and sometimes difficult to move around in, but we later learned that it could be rearranged for more space. As a new parent, I had a lot of questions about caring for our baby, changing diapers, holding the baby, swaddling, and more. The nurses were incredibly patient and took the time to explain everything clearly, which made a big difference for us. The postpartum section didnβt seem very busy during our stay, so we may have received more attention than usual, but regardless, the staff were consistently kind and attentive. Overall, we had a great experience and truly appreciated the care we received.
